Living Life as a Question

Many of the questions and concerns in the satsangs or spiritual gatherings I lead come in a similar form: How do I get or keep a particular experience? How do I get or keep a sense of awakeness or expansion or openness or freedom or loving kindness or Presence? Or if worldly concerns are the issue, the question is the same: How do I get or keep more health, more wealth, more comfort, more security, more romance? Another form these questions take is: How do I avoid falling asleep or feeling stuck or being contracted or being sick or losing love? They’re good questions. There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re real for the person who’s asking them.
Within each of these questions is the assumption that you need to do something-you need to get or keep or avoid something. Right there, in that assumption, is our suffering. The effort to get or keep or avoid any experience is what makes life miserable, difficult, dis-easeful.

Personal Mastery And Improving Your Confidence

Self- confidence is something that people find difficult to have. There are people who find low self-confidence influences the way they see themselves and their performance. Contrary to what most people think, self confidence is not something that only the gifted and blessed could have. With the help of personal mastery, individuals could now start building on their self-confidence.

Personal mastery is about self-development and self-improvement. It is about loving yourself and accepting yourself as you are. You need to acknowledge your weaknesses and at the same time strengthen them. Personal mastery is about loving yourself.

Methods Of Self-Esteem Improvement

Many of us suffer from low self-esteem and lack self-confidence, you'll be happy to know that there are many methods for self-esteem improvement.
The first question you should ask yourself when attempting to improve your self esteem is whether there are issues that need to be addressed with a professional counselor. This is particularly true if your low self-esteem is driving you to abuse alcohol or other drugs and is interfering in your life in a major way. If so, you may need to speak with a therapist or counselor who specializes in self-esteem issues.

Making Money through Sharing of Spiritual Gifts

One of the greatest fallacies in this world about spirituality is the negative idea towards making money from it. There are people who think that those who provide spiritual value or service to others should do so for free. They associate money as a thing of the world, and shouldn’t be mixed by the higher things.

This kind of mentality is exactly what causes the topsy-turvy state of the world and humanity’s progress. Even those who claim enlightenment from materialism are actually unenlightened about the truth. If people weren’t allowed to receive money for spiritual healings and teachings then this would mean that they would need to get work doing something non-spiritual. This would mean that they spent a lot less time doing spiritual work and practice, which would mean that they may well know less about spiritual
matters and would probably have less time to teach also. This would end up meaning that their overall spiritual contribution to the world could well be a whole lot less! How could this be a good thing?

Why Meditation Is Good for You

Keeping your mind in a constant state of flux is like keeping the motor on your car running all night long. You and the car will eventually run out of gas. Quieting your mind needs a top five placement on your “to-do” list.

Since we are so well aware of the needs of others, from our employers to our families, it is easy to overlook ourselves. Therefore, keep the notion that it is necessary to quiet your mind in the forefront of your mind. In this way, you will be able to go forth and do more.

Block aside a time and place for yourself that enables you to think of nothing, do nothing, and clear your mind. If you have to leave the house, then do so. Let everyone know that you are unreachable.

Sit quietly in your car if you have to, take some cleansing breaths, and think of absolutely nothing. You will see how even recharging for a few minutes during lunch each day will make a difference. Imagine then how productive the art and practice of meditation can be, in many ways.

Health Benefits

Studies are beginning to show through trials how meditation is having a positive impact on an individual’s health. It seems as though training your mind could have a direct impact on improving the health of your body.

Three Tips to Quiet Your Mind

If you are not overachieving and extremely busy in today’s society, you are the exception and not the norm. We are all guilty of this; we overextend, overachieve, and overstress ourselves to the point of breaking. Little do we realize, however, that we are hurting our body by hurting our mind.

The Art of Gratitude

It is so easy to be upset when things do not go our way. From the moment we spill our coffee, lock our keys in the car, and forget our lunch, a spiral of circumstances can set us off into a tailspin of negativity. However, we can choose to stay in a state of discontent and let that dictate our day, or we can be grateful for the other things in our lives even if they are not present in front of us right now.

Did you ever notice that when something nice happens, we tend to smile for a moment and then move on? However, when something goes wrong, we feel the need to tell everyone and anyone that will listen. It is in those exact moments of discontent that we need to focus on what we are grateful for, and it is then and only then that we will pull ourselves up from discontent.

Easy Breathing Practices

While a part of meditation is getting in touch with your awareness, another part has to do with relaxing and clearing your mind. Breathing is an important tool to get to both those places. Breathing may seem as simple as breathing in and out; however, this is not entirely the case.

For mediation to be successful, you will need to read up a little, listen to some CDs, and most of all practice a bit of breathing properly. Here are a few easy breathing practices to make your beginning mediation experience an enlightened one.

Proper Sitting for Proper Breathing

First and foremost, make sure that you are comfortable. Sitting upright with a straight spine will help the energy flow and prepare you for proper breathing exercises. Do not sit too rigidly, or you will be uncomfortable and unresponsive to the proper breathing format.

The Key to Developing Your Self-Esteem

Self-esteem is a state of mind. It can fill you with happiness, cheer, and confidence. It can also make you feel terrible about yourself. Self-esteem is like a battery. When the battery is charged, the individual is positive; when the battery is low, the individual is negative.

Individuals with low self-esteem often do not do well in life. They will approach most situations with little confidence though they may be fully capable of accomplishing it. Self-belief is considered the foundation of self-esteem. It provides the extra confidence that one needs to know they can do anything.

So how do you develop self-belief in yourself? Do not mistake self-belief as self-importance. They are not the same. It is more like conceit, spawn over confidence and egotism, which does not lead to personal success.

The right answer is positive self-esteem. This means that you see yourself as good and capable as anyone else, no better or worse, you are proud of who you are, and you approach everything with a positive outlook.

To do this you must learn to accept yourself unconditionally. You will have strengths and weaknesses, and you will have achievements and failures. You must learn to accept those realities. This is what self-esteem is all about – truth in yourself.

Improve your self confidence in 15 minutes

I used to be frighteningly under confident in social situations. And although people who know me now would never believe I used to doubt myself so much I literally had to learn confidence until it became a natural part of me. I can tell you relaxed optimistic confidence is just, well so much more fun.
Here I'll tell you about the things that made the most difference to my confidence levels...
Some people have naturally high levels of confidence but everybody can learn to be more confident
Firstly, it's important to get a clear idea of what self confidence really means, otherwise you won't know when you've got it! So, self-confidence means:
1) Being calm. For every situation in life you need to run on the appropriate level of emotion. Too much emotional 'leakage' into a experience can spoil the experience. You make great strides towards confidence when you begin to relax in a greater range of situations.
2) Being cool. The second part of self confidence is about being able to relax with uncertainty. To be 'cool' in a situation really means relaxing with not knowing how things will pan out. If you truly tolerate uncertainty, you can do pretty much anything.
3) Not being too concerned with what others think of you. You know when you imagine what some place is going to be like before you go there but when you get there it is totally different to your imagination? That's how reliable your imagination is! Stop trusting your imagination so much. I've long since stopped bothering to imagine what others think of me because so often I've turned out to be wrong.
4) Being specific - where do you want confidence? 'Confidence' is meaningless until you tie it to something specific. You are already confident that you can read these words or can switch a light on and off. So you don't need more confidence everywhere. To get what you want in life you have to establish exactly what you do want. Where do you want confidence in your life? Think about the specific situations now and write them down. You beginning to steer your brain towards confidence.

7 Ways to Soothe your Shyness

7 Ways to Soothe your Shyness
Shy people instinctively know that they are missing out. Shyness equals lost opportunities, less pleasure and fewer social connections. Shyness can be crippling but there are tried and tested ways to make it a thing of the past.
When I was fifteen I was shy. I recall an attractive girl attempting to engage me in conversation. My shyness made me focus on me instead of her. I heard my own voice but not hers and I thought about what I was trying to say instead of what she was trying to say.
The formula for shyness is "too much focus on the self" plus anxiety. To make it even more unpleasant, sometimes when you are feeling shy you experience physical sensations which 'hijack' your calm logical self.

Letting go Technique

My favourite practice that will help you feel calmer and happier is the ‘Letting Go’ technique.
This is based on mindfulness and whenever you begin to feel stress or anxiety about anything, then immediately respond with this simple and very powerful one minute practice.
1. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
2. Inhale to a count of five, hold to a count of five and exhale to a count of five
3. When you exhale, imagine exhaling your stress or anxious thought. Just feel and visualize it leaving your body.
4. Repeat aloud or silently “Let it go”.
5. Just feel the stress disappear.
Never hold onto negative thoughts. Just let them go. When you take a minute to do this you will be amazed at how calm and relaxed you will feel. If you are a visual person, it may help to picture yourself at your favourite place. It could be a beach, a mountain or your garden.
I know that this practice works really well from extensive studies from meditation, mindfulness and yoga. Whenever you pay attention to your breathing, you begin to feel better. This is the antidote to all that thinking and all that activity that traps us in a ‘doing’ mode. Spend more time just ‘being’. There is nothing more powerful to raise your mood and get you back on track. This is truly a marvelous minute!

Weight Loss Advice To Get You Slim And Trim

I recently got many emails asking for some advises for weight loss, or if I have a background in this field...
Yes I have a huge background because I'm so healthy person, and in my an experience of this field for about five years, as I was working in a health and wellness company which was their products all natural, such as juice, herbs, and all are green products.
However in this post, I have provided some advice and Tips for your loss weight program.
Losing weight is something that many people try to do everyday. There are a number of different ways to slim down, from diet pills to crash diets and the options can be overwhelming. Here are a few simple ways to lose weight that are healthy and will keep the weight off for years to come.
If you live alone, then weight loss should be quite easy to obtain, as it is just up to you. If, on the other hand, you live with a spouse, parents, or children, hence it will help you to ask them to assist you by dieting as well or at least, eating fatty foods out of your sight.
On the days that you are feeling less than motivated remind yourself of all of the benefits of losing weight. You don't have to just use the boring ones like a longer life but there are many immediate benefits to a healthier lifestyle such as a greatly improved sex life.
While avoiding carbs and sugars completely is generally not a very healthy or good idea for most people, decreasing these two items can really help you in your weight loss attempt. If you increase the protein you eat and decrease the other types it will make your progress move along much faster.
Always put the food that you are planning to eat on a separate plate than the packaging that it comes in. Even if you are eating a small bag of chips by placing them on a platter you will be more in control of what quantity you are actually eating.
Experiments have shown time and time again that most humans are very bad at estimating the portions that they are eating. This is why a kitchen scale is very important in understanding exactly how much of a specific food that you should be eating on a daily and even weekly basis.
While it is true that calorie counting may seem like a huge and annoying undertaking the benefits of doing it greatly outnumber any inconvenience. If you can start tracking your calories either in a notebook, a spreadsheet or even an application or website you will be able to see where you are having problems.
When going to a restaurant that is known for having huge portion sizes, you can ask the waiter to box up half of the food for you right away. This has two benefits, first you cut your calories in half immediately, but even more importantly you already have a meal prepared for tomorrow.
If you find that you never have enough time during the week to prepare some tasty and healthy food then you can do some extra work on the weekends and leave it prepared in reusable storage containers. Some things will need to be frozen but many of the options can be left in the fridge.
As you can see, there are plenty of ways to lose weight in a healthy way. Try one or all of these tips when you want to drop a couple pounds, and see which methods work best for you. Remember to believe in yourself and to keep going, you'll see results.
Apply These Tips To Your Weight Loss Plans
The challenge with weight loss is that it is as much of a physical challenge, as it is a mental challenge. If you ignore the portion size, you will fail. Similarly, if you neglect the mental portion, you will fail. It requires your complete physical and mental attention, in order for you to see any type of benefits, for all of your efforts.
Don't be fooled that all chicken has less fat than other meat. It's not the animal that matters, it's where the meat comes from on that animal. Every animal has areas where it stores more fat - even chicken. Dark chicken meat contains more fat than beef rump roast or top round, and twice the fat of pork tenderloin. The best part of the chicken to eat is the breast meat with the skin removed. Even better, eat turkey breast, as it has fewer calories.

The Success Activation Point

Have you ever wondered if the Universe is really out to get you? On a typical bad day, I used to get this recurring thought—when a passing car splashes dirty water on my skirt; when a bumps into me and spills my coffee; when my boss finds a mistake in my report and starts criticizing everything else. You name it, I've probably experienced it.
It just seemed like nothing good was ever going to happen to me. And it wasn't as if I didn't try. I tried going on blind dates, in search of someone who could share my burdens and lighten my load. I tried taking vitamin supplements to wake myself up in the mornings when I drag my feet to another work day. I even tried to bond with my colleagues by inviting them to a party but to unsurprisingly, no one showed up.

How to remember your dreams at night

A great time to program your subconscious mind is just before you go to sleep at night. At this time your brainwaves slow to alpha and theta, and this helps to bypass your conscious mind.
For instance, in my full research I discovered a way that people could find their purpose in life just by programming their subconscious mind just before they went to sleep...
...and even a way for people to program your subconscious mind to remember their dreams and even generate the dreams they wish...

This sounds difficult, doesn't it?
But in reality, it is a lot easier than you might think.
The simple trick is to convince your subconscious mind that it is to perform this task for you.
And how is this achieved? The easiest way is to give your subconscious precise instructions while you are in a "dream state" just before you go to sleep at night.
And the most effective way to do this is to go to bed an hour or so earlier than usual so that you are still fresh enough to effectively do this "programming" without drifting off from over-tiredness.
You simply instruct your subconscious as follows:

Chakra Chart: Meanings Of The Seven Chakras

Imagine seven ‘wheels’ of energy spinning in your body along its centerline, from the base of your spine to the top of your head. These subtle energy channels each correspond to different areas of the body as well as specific life situations. They channel energy to where it’s needed, for optimal health and wellbeing.
In many ways the chakras are like intersections in a busy city. They channel traffic, and the traffic grid is designed to keep traffic flowing freely. But as we have all experienced, city traffic can easily become snarled. All it takes is one angry or insensitive driver blocking an intersection, and everything comes to a stop. Traffic ‘upstream’ from the blockage becomes an impassable domino effect of cars clogging the streets and blocking other intersections. And ‘downstream’, the streets are empty.
Check out the chakra chart below to understand your chakras better:
click to enlarge the Chakra ChartImagine that scenario in your energy flow. If one or more of your chakras are blocked, they cause disturbances and imbalances on both sides of the flow. The result is stagnating energy that causes poor health, undesirable life conditions, unhappiness and a sense that nothing is going right.

Inner Peace – How to Create Inner Peace Today

Inner peace is one of those states of being that seem elusive in today’s overstimulated world. But here’s a thought for you – what if inner peace were just a choice away?
Yes, a choice!
It is as easy as saying, “I am at peace.” The trick to making this work, though, is a bit more complex. You have to have the mental mastery to shut out the thoughts that prevent you from being at peace. This is not as difficult as you might imagine. And once you learn how, you can go through every day feeling good about life.
Step one is to listen to your mental chatter. Guided meditation is the perfect practice for this. Slip on the headphones, chill out to anOmharmonics meditation audio track, and let your mind wander. It takes a bit of practice to listen to your thoughts without getting caught up in them but you can do it. This is the time to figure out what’s really preventing you from being at peace.
Let your mind wander and listen to it.After a while you’ll notice that you keep looping back to the same old four to seven topics. These are the things that stress you out and prevent you from feeling at peace.
If there’s anything you can do about any of those topics, then do it as soon as possible. A lot of the time, stuff you procrastinate on weighs heavy on the mind and keeps you stressed and tense. Take care of all unfinished business. Get it out of your hair, over with and out of your mind. You’ll feel an amazing release of stagnant energy when you do this.

Relief Your Angst Forever With Meditation For Anxiety

Are there situations in your life that are causing you anxiety? You may have the occasional bout of anxiety that you can handle… or it might be a part of you that you can’t seem to shake.
What is anxiety? It is a disorder that causes fear, nervousness, worry, doubt and apprehension… ‘disorder’ meaning a disruption in the normal mental and emotional functioning. And it can be debilitating.
Trying to function normally when you’re suffering from anxiety is like trying to NOT think about a purple elephant in your kitchen. Once that thought is in your head, it won’t leave. It keeps circling around and around, feeding on itself until you’re an emotional wreck.
Meditation can help. In fact, meditation is a very effective way to completely eliminate anxiety at the source.
Try meditation for anxiety - it works!
